Trainz Simulator Content: Sodor Island 3D

Before you start asking questions or seeking help with Troubleshooting Trainz Simulator models, please take a moment to review this important information.

Firstly, please note that only 3D-face models are supported on this website. Any requests for older (2D-face) models will not be entertained. Additionally, do not redistribute these models without the explicit permission of WildNorWester.

Before seeking Troubleshooting help, kindly follow the steps outlined in our dedicated troubleshooting page. If you're experiencing issues with a model, please ensure that it has been released according to our release policy. Models modified in this manner will not receive any Troubleshooting support.

It's also important to note that models may be compatible with earlier versions of Trainz Simulator by modifying the script files and env_metal texture file. However, changing the textures or mesh of a model is strictly forbidden.

When downloading these models, please ensure you agree to our terms & conditions. This includes understanding that not all models will be released, even if they have been made. Our release policy dictates that models will only become public after their first appearance on-screen.

All models currently available on this site have already appeared in the 'Sodor The Modern Years' (STMY) series and can be found under the 'Legacy Engines' section of our TANE Content category. Some older engine models have been released, but they have been tested and confirmed working in Trainz 2019 SP1-SP4 and Trainz 2022.

Please note that there is a known issue with Trainz 2019 SP5 that affects the AJS superscript on certain locomotives. Additionally, some TANE models may be compatible with Trainz 2012, but they have not been tested in this version of Trainz Simulator.

Models without TTTELocomotive scripting, such as rolling stock and those only using the AJS superscript, are compatible with Trainz a New Era (TANE) and above. These can be found under the 'TRS 2019+ Content' section.

The majority of these models use TTTELocomotive scripting, which allows for eye puppeting with video game controllers and on-screen controls. Here you'll find the models released as part of our 'Sodor The Modern Years' series, made available to the community in their original form.
